QUALIFICATIONS FOR OBTAINING A REAL ESTATE LICENSE

• You must be at least 19 years of age
  
  
• You must have had a high school diploma or GED
  
  
• You must attend 60 hours of pre-licensing education, covering an education course called Principles and Practices and subjects such as finance.* 
  
  
• You must receive a passing grade on the state licensing exam.
  
  
• You must apply for a license with the Nebraska Real Estate Commission in Lincoln, Nebraska.

*The cost for the education courses is approximately ($550) and there is License Exam Preparation course that is approximately ($205).  The Preparation course is not required, but the test isn’t easy, and the extra class gives you a better opportunity to pass.
